Just a quick one here. A recent Waves update caused me to lose all of my Waves plugin authentications. I'm running on a Win 8.1 PC and since Waves' removal of iLok support (please bring it back) I've authenticated my Waves products against my wireless netork card. My current release of Waves License Center 9.3.0.14 doesn't recognise wireless adaptors any more - only wired. My wireless card still appers in the devices section of WLC but shows as "disconnected". In my case I had to go into the BIOS to turn on the ethernet device (I switch-off stuff that I don't use). The good news is that when I emailed support I got a reply within about 5 minutes and a call a couple of minutes after I responded to that - and was up and running withing a 1/2 hour (thanks to Yoni Kesar - very helpful). My "0nce-a-year-get-out-of-trouble-reset" was also reset , but activating the ethernet adaptor kicked-off a Windows re-authorisation - deep joy.
Bottom line - full marks to Waves support for a quick and helpful resolution, but c'mon developers - this is a bit of a fundamental error to make in the first place. Please fix WLC so that it works as it used to, and hey - iLOK?
